But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.Galatians 5:22-23
Whenever you feel spiritually depleted, remember that you already have access to the Fruit of the Spirit. In the times when you feel weary, allow God to refresh your soul with the powerful truths of these Fruit of the Spirit Scriptures.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.1 Corinthians 13:13
Love is a powerful Fruit of the Spirit, because God is love. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit dwells with us and fills us with his love.
In the moments when you feel that you are unlovable (or when it is hard to love others), remember that God’s love is within you. He will give you the strength to love others through his Spirit.
Prayer: Lord, I praise you that you are love, and your love endures forever. Nothing in all of creation can separate me from your love (Romans 8:39). Give me the strength through your Spirit to love those around me. Amen.

Joy is more than an emotion or a bubbly feeling. It is the strength and resolve to choose hope in the midst of pain and uncertainty. The Holy Spirit is the great Comforter, who strengthens us in times of difficulty.
When we have the fruit of the Spirit of joy within us, we can choose to have joy even in the midst of our pain.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your unspeakable joy that resides within me through your Spirit. Even in the midst of pain, difficulty and disappointment, may your Spirit comfort me and strengthen me with your everlasting joy. Amen.

Praise The Lord for his peace that surpasses our understanding! When I think of the peace we have within our souls, I think of Psalm 23 and sitting by the still, quiet waters of the pasture.
Even when life seems chaotic and the woes of this world is unsettling, we can trust God to fill us with his peace.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your peace that surpasses all understanding. In the midst of this hectic and crazy world, calm my heart and mind, and fill me with the fruit of your peace. Amen.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.Romans 12:12
Patience seems to be one of the virtues of Christ that we fall short in quite often. Whether we are standing in a line at the grocery store or are slightly annoyed by a family member, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives in this area.
Remember, we already have everything we need for life and godliness, and the fruit of patience is already within us. Praying to God and spending time in his Word will remind us of the power we have to be patient-even in busy traffic!
Prayer: Lord, thank you that I already have the fruit of patience within me. Thank you that through your Spirit, I can be patient in any situation I find myself in. Through the power of your Spirit, this is truly possible! Amen.

We serve a God who is kind and loving. His kindness leads us to repentance and salvation (Romans 2:4). Because he is kind and compassionate, we can utilize the Fruit of the Spirit of kindness to lead others to Christ.

We serve a good God! In the midst of the uncertainty in our world today, we must remember that every good and perfect gift comes from God (James 1:17).
We also need to remind ourselves that according to Romans 8:28, all things work together for the good of those who love God and have been called according to his purposes. We may not always see how God can word a difficult situation into something good. But with God, all things are possible.
Prayer: Lord, thank you that you have filled me with your goodness through your Spirit. Help me to trust that you will work in all things for my good. Amen.

I just love the classic hymn Great is Thy Faithfulness. It serves as a powerful reminder that no matter what we face in life, God’s faithfulness is as constant and reliable as the rising of the sun with each new morning.
How can we in turn faithfully commit our lives to Christ? Since we are infused with the Fruit of God’s faithfulness, we can live our lives in total love and devotion to him.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your compassion that never fail. Thank you that with the rise of each new morning, your faithfulness meets us each day. Help me to live my life in total faithfulness and commitment to you, as I serve you and those around me. Amen.
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.Philippians 4:5
Our Lord is gentle and meek. This is not to be confused with weakness–in fact, it is strength that is restrained. Rather than unleashing the fullness of God’s wrath on humanity, Jesus took the punishment of our sins that we deserved. He could have come down from the cross.
He could have rained fiery hail and completely obliterated the people who crucified him. But his love, compassion, and gentleness kept him on the cross.
Now we have the power to demonstrate that same meekness and gentleness to those around us.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for the gift of your gentleness. Teach me to use the strength and power of your Holy Spirit to love those around me with gentleness and compassion. Amen.
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age…Titus 2:11-12
We have the power of the Holy Spirit living within us–the same power and Spirit who raised Jesus from the grave. If we have the power of our risen Savior within us, then we can certainly utilize the power of self-control when we need to.
We do not have to bow the knee to temptation of any kind, but we have the power to stand up under it (James 1:13).
Prayer: Lord thank you that I have the power to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live a life that is self-controlled of right and God.
Help me to remember that you will never tempt me to sin, but I have the help of the Holy Spirit to resist any temptation sin or to indulge in ungodliness. Thank you for providing a way for me to stand against it. Amen.
