Welcome!
So glad you stopped by! I am Christin a wife and a homeschool mom of three precious princesses, and one charming prince, with an insatiable desire to help build women in the area of prayer and Bible study!
I am a former elementary school teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from a Christian University. I am a former Sunday School curriculum writer, current blogger, and passionate lover of Jesus. I have served as a women’s Bible study teacher, small group leader, and I write children’s articles for a Christian magazine called The Banner.
I have been married to my amazing husband for 15 years. My husband has an undergrad in business, as well as Christian Theology with a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies. Together, we have over 20+ years of experience in Christian ministry serving in various ministries in the local church.
I believe….
~In salvation through Jesus Christ (John 3:16)
~The Bible is the inspired Word of God through the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
~In the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit) (1 Corinthians 8:6, Ephesians 4:6, John 14:6, John 14:26)
~That Jesus was crucified on the cross and was resurrected from the grave (John 19:18, Luke 24:1-53)
~That the Church represents believers all over the world who profess faith in Jesus as their Savior, and are committed to serving Him. (Ephesians 2:20-22 Ephesians 1:22)
To start off, I should let you know that this blog is not a fashion blog (well, not entirely). It’s about the transforming power we have through the clothing of Christ. So you may be thinking, “But Jesus was a carpenter—not a tailor!” You are absolutely right–not only was Jesus a carpenter and the Savior of the world, he is the greatest Fashion Designer of all time.
Hang with me for a moment…
Have you ever been in such a dark, dismal season in life where you felt heavy burdens weighing you down like a clad-iron cloak? I know I have. Isaiah 61:3 describes the wounded soul as a spiritual garment of heaviness and despair.
But Jesus came to earth, died, and rose again in victory to exchange our bleak clothing of sin and shame for brilliant garments of praise, righteousness and eternal salvation (Is 61:10).
The chains of our past have been broken. Like the nation of Israel, God is calling us to arise and take our place on his runway:
Awake, awake O Zion,
Clothe yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendor, O Jerusalem…
Shake off your dust; Rise up, sit enthroned, O Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck,
O captive Daughter of Zion. Isaiah 52:1,2b
This blog is about gaining a new spiritual wardrobe and putting on shimmering garments of splendor and strength. The term splendor is defined as beauty, brilliance, magnificence and grandeur.
To put on these things is to adorn yourself with the very glory of God.
That’s the kind of clothing I want to wear, don’t you? This is what our Savior has custom-designed just for us!
I pray that in this blog you will discover:
• How to find true freedom and embrace your identity in Christ
• How to live confidently and securely in the truth of God’s love
• Understand the truth of your inner beauty and feel great from the inside out
I’m so glad you’re on this journey with me!
Feel free to stay a while, and come back with a friend or two!
Remember, we are all models showcasing God’s glory and splendor.
When people notice your new “wardrobe”, point them to Jesus—the one and only Savior, King, and Master Designer.
Much love!
Christin
