Each of the following Psalms are in the NIV (New International Version). Many of these Scriptures were written by King David when he faced times of difficulty in his life.

Not only is God our strength, but he is our strong tower and stronghold. A strong tower or stronghold was a fortress, or building of refuge and a place of defense and security (source).

Isn’t it comforting to know that God not only gives us his strength when we are weak, but he is our source of protection and fortification against the attacks of the enemy. Praise the Lord!
