There’s nothing like receiving a good, old fashioned sealed letter in the mail. To know that someone took the time to buy the stationary, sit down and manually hand-write a message, buy a stamp and seal an envelope lets me know that someone invested time in connecting with me.
That is the type of mail that warms my heart the most.
When I think of a sealed letter with a special message, I am reminded of the sweet love letter our Lord mails to our hearts each time we open his Word and hear him whisper messages of his unending, undying, everlasting love for us.
Messages of …
“I have loved you with an everlasting love…” (Jeremiah 31:3)
“My love reaches to the heavens…” (Psalm 36:5)
“Many waters cannot quench love…” (Song of Songs 8:7)
He seals his promises with the warm embrace of his love. He tucks us deeply into the depths of his grace. We are forever sealed with his perfect presence. Like the Shulamite woman in Song of Songs, we can confidently declare to him,
“Place me like a seal over your heart…” (Song of Songs 8:6)
The sweet love letters of our Savior are forever etched on our souls and stamped on our hearts–as we are tucked safely in his.
“Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit…” (Ephesians 1:13)
May you take comfort in the truth that your mailbox is truly full.
Your seal is secure. And his love for you is eternal.
This post is part of a link-up called Five Minute Friday hosted by my friend Kate Motaung. Go check out her blog! This Friday’s prompt is MAIL.
Stopping by from #fmf. Thanks for the sweet reminders of the letters God has written just for us, declaring his never-ending love.
Thanks Debby! Don’t you just love getting mail from God? Every time we open his word, he is speaking to us. Thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂

Love your words and verses here, Christin. His word truly does speak to our hearts, and seals our hearts with His, yes?
And Jeremiah 31:3 is one of my favorite verses of all. 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing Jeanne! Jeremiah 31:3 is also one of my favorites. I definitely need to be reminded of his incredible love for us each day!
Christin, what a beautiful post. One can never get too many love letters from God. Now if I can only remember to send some back. I know He is waiting.
I’m new at FMF. Nice to meet you. I’m #35 on the list.
Hi Gina! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I am also new to the FMF community, and have found it to be such a joy and encouragement! Thank you for your kind words about my post. I am so thankful that no matter what we’ve done or how far we’ve drifted from our faith, the letters of his unfailing love remain steadfast and true. What a great God we serve!
