A Seal on Your Heart (The Best Love Letter You’ll Ever Receive)

There’s nothing like receiving a good, old fashioned sealed letter in the mail. To know that someone took the time to buy the stationery, sit down and manually hand-write a message, buy a stamp and seal an envelope lets me know that someone invested time in connecting with me.

That is the type of mail that warms my heart the most.

When I think of a sealed letter with a special message, I am reminded of the sweet love letter our Lord mails to our hearts each time we open his Word and hear him whisper messages of his unending, undying, everlasting love for us.

love letters from God

Messages of …

“I have loved you with an everlasting love…” (Jeremiah 31:3)

“My love reaches to the heavens…” (Psalm 36:5)

“Many waters cannot quench love…” (Song of Songs 8:7)

He seals his promises with the warm embrace of his love. He tucks us deeply into the depths of his grace. We are forever sealed with his perfect presence. Like the Shulamite woman in Song of Songs, we can confidently declare to him,

“Place me like a seal over your heart…” (Song of Songs 8:6)

The sweet love letters of our Savior are forever etched on our souls and stamped on our hearts–as we are tucked safely in his.

“Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit…” (Ephesians 1:13)

May you take comfort in the truth that your mailbox is truly full.

Your seal is secure. And his love for you is eternal.
