A Prayer for those who have been Rejected

We have all experienced rejection. Whether it was from our childhood, or later in life, we know the painful pangs of abandonment and hurt. The enemy desires to steal, kill, and destroy God’s people–but it’s time to gird ourselves with the sword of the Spirit and take back what the enemy attempted to steal from us. Let us pray!

The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full.

John 10:10

Lord, I pray that through the power of you Holy Spirit, that you will heal me from a spirit of rejection that took place in my life. I know that you as my Heavenly Father will never reject or abandon me. Through your son Jesus I am accepted, loved, valued, and upheld.

Thank you Lord, that you never cast me aside or push me down. You accept me just the way I am. I do not have to pursue perfectionism to be pursued by you. Speak to me through your Word, and remind me how much you deeply care for me. Reassure me that you will never leave or forsake me, and that you can always be trusted.

Renew my mind by the power of your Word. This root of rejection will no longer manifest itself in my life in the form of anger, bitterness, perfectionism, or despair. It is broken through your blood.

Thank you Lord, for hearing my prayer, and that by your stripes, I am healed! (Isaiah 53:5)
