How to Wear Clothing of Compassion

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Isaiah 30:18

Last summer I remember checking on my sleeping 20 month old at around 12:30am (yes, I was still up!) The temperature in the room drastically dropped, and I discovered that my daughter had curled herself into a tiny ball, trying to keep herself warm with only a thin onesie on and her favorite blanket tightly tucked under her chest like a plush teddy bear.

Twelve Unshakable Scriptures to Stand on (with free printable!)

My husband and I love spending time with our kids at the park. One particular park near our church has a playground with a bridge leading from one end of the play structure to the other. This bridge is designed to wobble, shake, rattle and scare the living daylights out of mothers with young toddlers!

The Top Ten Love Songs from God’s Word

For great is your love, reaching to the heavens…
Psalm 57:10

Three Ways Christian Women Sabotage their Inner Beauty

We all remember Miss Piggy, right? She was that famous pig from the Muppets who was an interesting character, to say the least. She loved the limelight, to be on center stage, and was quite obsessed with a certain green frog…

Miss Piggy had sass, and spelled diva with a capital “D”.

12 Verses About your Worth in Christ (With FREE Scripture Cards!)

In the sixth grade I went to an environmental school on a nature preserve in our city. My classmates and I enjoyed frequent nature hikes, explored nearby streams, and even ran our own chicken coop (with the close supervision of our teacher, of course!) The forest was our classroom.

Five Ways to Break through Chains of Bondage

The Lord sets prisoners free….
Psalm 146:7b

Chains. Bondage. Captivity. Imprisonment. These words describe the painful enslavement to a dirty three-letter word—sin. We may never experience the isolation of an actual prison cell, but we all have been held hostage to the prison within ourselves.
